Today, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) published its revised Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance (AMLO-FINMA). The changes are part of an overall package and include measures resulting from the FATF’s mutual evaluation report on Switzerland. They also take account of feedback from the consultation phase and will enter into force on 1 January 2020.
The commentary
AMLO-FINMA concerns financial intermediaries reporting to FINMA. – As a reminder: on 1 June 2018, the Federal Council initiated a consultation on amendments to the Anti-Money Laundering Act. The consultation will last until 21 September 2018. Link (see Flash of June 1, 2018).
