The case
In an interview Federal Councilor Maurer says that Switzerland is facing high tax losses. In the next few years he wants to concentrate his international activity (…) that the possible damage of the reform of the corporate tax planned by the OECD may affect Switzerland less. (…) Maurer believes that the indirect taxes such as VAT will be more important in the longer term.
According to Maurer there is “no budget” for a bolder reform of the withholding tax and according to Maurer Facebook’s cryptocurrency “Libra” has headwinds because central banks are concerned about the planned currency basket.
