In 2020 the wealth per adult in Switzerland amounts to 673,960 USD, an increase of 11.7 percent compared to 2019. With their wealth, Switzerland leads the world, followed by the USA, where wealth per adult has risen by 41,870 USD to 506,420 USD. Overall, total global wealth increased by 7.4 percent to 418.3 trillion USD and wealth per adult increased by 6.0 percent to a high of 79,952 USD.

The commentary

In the next five years, global wealth is expected to increase by 39 per cent, reaching 583 trillion USD in 2025. The number of dollar millionaires will also rise by almost 50 percent to 83 million in the next five years. The number of millionaires in Switzerland is expected to increase by 54 percent to 1.6 million.
