The case

There are repeated rumours from Turkey that the exchange of information between Switzerland and Turkey will be postponed. We have clarified this issue in Bern. According to this information, the exchange of information with Turkey will be implemented in accordance with the agreement: The bilateral agreement between Switzerland and Turkey entered into force on 1 January 2021. The commentary

The reporting Swiss financial institutions will report information on persons resident in Turkey with assets in Switzerland to the Swiss tax administration by 30 June 2022. The data will relate to the 2021 reporting period. Subsequently, Switzerland will transmit this information to Turkey in the 3rd quarter of 2022.
