The commentary
The number of ultra high net worth individuals (UHNWI) with a net worth of USD 30 million rose by 4.2 per cent from 601,300 to 626,619. From a regional perspective, North America stands out with growth of 7.2 per cent, followed by the Middle East with 6.2 per cent. Europe recorded growth of 1.8 per cent. In the European context, Switzerland leads the way with growth of 5.2 per cent. Only in Latin America did the number of UHNWIs fall (minus 3.6 per cent). In terms of individual countries, Turkey leads the way with a percentage increase of 10 per cent, followed by the USA with 8 per cent.
