The commentary

GRECO’s evaluation praised Switzerland’s existing frameworks but also listed 15 targeted recommendations to enhance efficiency in corruption prevention; see report, page 4; points 3 and 4.

The review’s focus was on examining corruption risks among senior public officials, customs personnel, border protection officers as well as employees of the Federal Criminal Police. GRECO requested that Switzerland report back on its progress in implementing these suggestions by the end of 2025.

This process emphasizes Switzerland’s commitment to transparency and accountability, while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in governance and law enforcement sectors.
