Ukraine: Federal Council implements 16th EU sanctions package against Russia.
The commentary
Switzerland has officially aligned itself with the European Union’s 16th package of sanctions against Russia, reinforcing its stance on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The decision was made by the Federal Council and came into effect immediately.
The Federal Council is also extending Swiss sanctions against Belarus.
