The case

The Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts (MCBA) in Lausanne has been given 17 sculptures by Alberto Giacometti that used to form part of an anonymous private collection.

The commentary

These works are currently on display in the exhibition titled La Collection, which also features pieces by Jean Dubuffet, Balthus, and Zao Wou-Ki, artists connected to Giacometti through shared themes and artistic circles.
