The case

Switzerland has opened a consultation to extend its AEOI (Automatic Exchange of Information) network by including another eight partner states – Armenia, Cameroon, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Rwanda, Senegal, and Tunisia. The consultation runs until 14 November 2025.

The commentary

This initiative will allow Switzerland to collect and share financial account information with jurisdictions listed above, starting on 1 January 2027, with the first data exchange scheduled for 2028.
