The case
In 2024, 2.14 million people were employed in enterprises controlled by a group in Switzerland, representing a 0.8 % increase compared with the previous year.
The commentary
This growth was mainly driven by Swiss-controlled multinational enterprises, where employment rose by 1.4 %. These companies accounted for nearly half of all jobs within enterprise groups operating in Switzerland. In contrast, foreign-controlled multinationals dominated in terms of turnover, generating almost two-thirds of the total turnover of enterprise groups in Switzerland. For more details see link.
