The commentary
One villa, Villa Behr, owned by Schaffhausen-based entrepreneur Giorgio Behr, was completed several years ago.
The remaining 27 villas will be constructed on a scenic strip of land between the existing resort and the Reuss River. Two of these properties are said to have been sold, each for around CHF 30 million, putting the overall project value at several hundred million Swiss francs.
The development is aimed at internationally mobile ultra-high-net-worth individuals seeking a politically stable and secure location that allows them to preserve their wealth in Switzerland.
