The commentary
UBS had claimed that a 1999 settlement shielded it from future lawsuits, but the court rejected that argument, leaving the door open for additional Holocaust-related claims. Fresh evidence links former Credit Suisse and its predecessor institutions to Nazi-era accounts. In February 2026, the US Senate identified 890 such accounts, some of which had reportedly remained open until 2020 and were previously unknown.
