PostAuto Criminal Trial Scheduled for 2027
The case
The criminal proceedings arising from the PostAuto subsidy fraud scandal are expected to be heard by the Berne Economic Criminal Court in 2027. Although a hearing date has not yet been set, the trial is anticipated to take place in the second half of the year, given the scale and complexity of the case.

The commentary
In spring 2024, the Federal Office of Police (Fedpol) issued seven criminal orders against former PostAuto executives and former members of Swiss Post‘s senior management in connection with what is regarded as Switzerland’s largest subsidy fraud case. As all seven defendants have contested the criminal orders, the matter will now proceed to a full trial.
