UBS publishes the UBS Luxury Property Focus 2021. The prices of Swiss luxury real estate rose more than twice as strongly as in the broad housing market. The upward trend is likely to continue for the time being. For more see link (German).

The commentary

With price increases of around 16%, the municipalities near Geneva have made the most significant gains. Cologny continues to hold the top spot: the price starts at CHF 36,000/m2. On the second-home market, the most expensive properties are in Gstaad (over CHF 30,000/m2). The prices per square metre are insignificantly lower in St. Moritz and Pontresina. Properties near Zurich e.g. Rüschlikon, Küsnacht and Erlenbach cost around CHF 25,000/m2. In Zug and Wollerau the price is CHF 22,000/m2 and in Ticino CHF 20,000/m2 respectively.
