The commentary
Banks have been discontinuing traditional cash transactions at the counter whereas the use of digital payment solutions has been skyrocketing.
Last week, the Swiss National Bank unveiled designs for a new series of banknotes, which are colorful, quirky and animal-themed, with even a brontosaurus adoning one of the notes. But just like the dinosaurs that became extinct millions of years ago, cash is also in danger of turning into a fossil of its own kind.
